Easy Petite Style, Rachel Bilson Inspired

I’m not shy about the fact that I love the 5″2 Rachel Bilson, I think her style- the boho chic thing, is a lot of fun. I’m a little jealous I can’t pull off a lot of the stuff she wears. I wish I could wear a long maxi hippie skirt and make it look cool and effortless, but I can’t… I just feel extremely wide wearing it and I feel super short. Ohh well… Maybe I’m wearing the wrong skirts?! I’ll investigate this later… I did stumble upon a pic of Bilson leaving Sirius Radio Stations in NYC-  after her show with Regis & Kelly- wearing a simple white eyelet-holed…

    Back From Outerspace

Well, not really outerspace, but really Out Of Cyber Space! A few reasons really… One, felt a bit uninspired recently. I think it was because of the move back from London. I felt quite unsettled for the first couple of months. Second, I went on a family trip to the Philippines which was fantastic, but then soon after we all flew back again because my grandmother passed away. Quite sad. And third, I’m starting a little project with my mum. Yay! So now I’m back. One of the things I love about being back in my home town is going for a drive around rediscovering places. I found a lovely…

    Intramuros, Manila

As part of my holiday I made sure I took some time to learn some history of the Philippines. My family and I went to Intramuros the oldest part of Manila, known as the ‘walled city’ which was built by the Spaniards in the 16th century. There I learned about Jose Rizal, the Philippines national hero, who was falsely charged with rebellion, sedition and formation of illegal societies and was later executed. This year is the 150th anniversary of Jose Rizal’s life. Rizal statue in Luneta The cast of the Rizal play Sitting at Rizal’s table The below picture was taken as I walked along the top part of the…

    Burberry Rain Boots

In my last week in London, it didn’t rain at all. Perfect Spring weather. Bittersweet really, because I got these oh-so-fab Burberry wellies that I’ve been dying to wear. Now that I’ve been back in Queensland Australia it’s pretty much been raining all the time. Yay! (Fingers crossed no more flooding though, right!) My rainboots are a size euro 35 and fit me perfectly. I don’t need to wear thick socks as they are nice and snug already. The Asos crop T-shirt is a size 6 and is quite short so underneath I am wearing a plain black random singlet. I just searched Asos’ site and the top is still…

    The Very Pink Petite Skirt

The packing is pretty much done… The boxes will be collected tomorrow and shipped to Australia. I had to part with A LOT of shoes. Lets hope we don’t have to be apart for too long. Yesterday, I was able to steal away some time to hang out in the park. I tried out my new skirt. Well actually, I think it is referred to as a ‘skort‘ because it is a mix between a skirt and shorts. Skort is a weird word, so I won’t use it. haha. It has this gorgeous BIG PINK BOW at the front. I love it! It fits perfectly in a size UK 6.…

    Pretty Petite Lace And Layers

We were going out for dinner and drinks after work the other day to celebrate our hard work and also it was the first day for the new girl so we needed to have a drink to that and welcome her. I knew that after work I wouldn’t have time to go home and get changed so I wore my evening dress underneath and layered on top. My ‘casual’ top layer was a thrifted denim button-up and a thrifted scarf. My shoes are a pair of Pretty-Small-Shoes boots called ‘Buffy’, my bag Topshop and my hat Sinequanone. For the evening outfit, well that was easy. I just took the top layers…

    Tickled Papaya Pink

You would have perhaps already noticed by now that I am quite a fan of Topshop petite items. For petites, it’s really hard to find clothes that fit right, let alone stylish. I really believe if you need a trendy up to date piece, you will ALWAYS find it there. The outfit I wore to work the other day, was a comfortable clash of red and papaya pink. My paper-bag style shorts are size UK 4. The fit fantastically around the waist, nice and fitted and the length is great, not too long and not too short. It’s also very soft! The blazer was a bargain I grabbed during the…

    Loving And Leaving London…

I haven’t been home for dinner since Monday, hence, the lack of posts and activity. Sorry! For the last couple of nights I have been going out for dinner and catchups with friends because we are now in the last 2 weeks of our London life. We’re heading back to Australia after two amazing years. So sad. 🙁 Today is a gorgeous day and the sun is shining. You can definitely feel Spring in the air. We all headed for the park, got some Starbucks and hung out. Today I wore my new petite size UK6 button up blouse from Topshop and my new favourite black crochet-lace shorts. I have…

    A Petite In Oxford

In an effort to try and see as much as possible in the UK before jetting off back home to Australia, my friends and I drove to Oxford to hang out for the day. It was a beautiful partly sunny day, however, still very chilly. The town and university was so pretty! Throughout the day I would check out the clothes people were wearing and guess which of them attended Oxford University. Some were truly obvious with their forest green sweaters and checkered shirts, polo shirts, beige trousers or navy skirts and they carried a sort of confidence that comes with someone who knows they’re really smart. It made me…

Oversized Tee (for petites) With A Purple Splash

Lately I’ve found myself wearing a lot of the following colours; camel, mauve (like a pinkish mauve) and taupe. Felt a bit la-dee-da… so naturally I got bored. So of course I had to start introducing brighter colours into my life. Hello bright purple! I found this fabulous scarf whilst doing a spot of vintage shopping at Camden Markets. It actually was a toss up between a vintage Givenchy neck scarf (£35.00 – I would have bargained lower!) or this £3.00 bundle of brightness. How could I say no? Although I may return for that designer vintage one too! Oversized wine coloured Asos shirt Topshop black bandage skirt black stockings…
