Petite Review: Petite Miss Selfridge Blue Maxi

Some of you may have taken note of my Facebook post regarding a “few Miss Selfridge goodies”. Well, here is one of them (Yay! But sorry it took a while to post) – My petite turquoise maxi dress from Miss Selfridge. Standing at 4″11′, I find it super hard to find a maxi dress with the correct length. If I am lucky enough to find a dress designed to graze the shins of ‘regular sized’ women, I’d get that. But it’s rare to find. Another option is to go to Targets’ kids section and find a simple style maxi dress. One that it not noticeably from the childrens side of the store…

Petite Fashion Challenge # 17: Candy Colorized

I am a little excited as this is my first time participating in a Petite Fashion Challenge. I still remember when these petite fashion challenges first began, but I never got around to joining in on all the petite fashion fun. So, here’s my first go… The Petite Fashion Challenge this month was hosted by the lovely petite fashionista, SewPetiteGal. The challenge was this: Take a bowl full of colourful candies, close your eyes, and draw 2-3 pieces.  Now use those colours (+ a neutral of your choosing) to form the basis for your ensemble. My two main colours were light green and purple. I used a minty green blouse and…

Petite Coats for An Aussie Winter

Australia is all behind when it comes to fashion, only because our seasons are half a year behind what seems to be the rest of the world. Not literally, but in terms of fashionable countries Oz is a little behind. When UK and the US are celebrating summer outfits, poor ole’ Australia still has to go through winter. Winter was my favourite when I lived in the UK. It was all about the layers, the coats, the scarfs, the felts fedora’s… the boots! Ah… winter boots from Pretty-Small-Shoes are the best. Anyways, Brisbane winter doesn’t get too cold. It’s currently 17 degrees (or thereabouts) so there’s no need for puffy…

    Petite Review: Black Milk Clothing

The label, Black Milk,  first got my attention when I saw my friend raving on about her “awesome Black Milk leggings” on Facebook. It became hard to ignore. At first I thought they’d be way too crazy to wear, but the idea of crazy- soon appealed to me. I got my first pair earlier this week and I have already worn them out three times!! Are they ‘petite-friendly‘? I ordered a size Small… Because sadly, I’m no longer an Extra Small :(… (I blame holidays and winter food)… Plus, I don’t like it when elastic on the hips are so tight it reveals my muffin-top- Haha. The measurements of these…

    Dannii Minogue, a Petite Fashionista

black lace ‘petite’ dress asos I met Dannii! A few months ago I was in Perth hitting the clubs with a few girlfriends, when I noticed to my left was petite Aussie star, Dannii Minogue, dancing her little heart out – Bless! For those of you who don’t know, she’s Kylie Minogue‘s sister and she’s a big deal in Australia and in the UK. Currently working as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent and building up a fashion house- Project D, this petite mother of one manages to always look so trendy! She is currently on the front cover of Marie Claire magazine. Check out her behind-the-scenes cover shoot with…

    Oroton ‘Entourage Tote’

Totally lusting over Oroton ‘Entourage Tote’ (in hot pink, of course!) which I saw in David Jones. In store the tote comes with a gorgeous black and cream satin scarf, however Oroton online it’s not included. For $AUD 295 I’d want the scarf too! This is the perfect sized tote for petites. It’s got that strong structured look, without being overly huge in size. The handle is a good length for hooking onto your arm or holding onto to. There’s plenty of space for all the essentials like… Purse, mirror, lipstick, Lucas Pawpaw, mints and your smartphone. I think this luxury Australian label has come a long way over the…

    Petite Holiday Outfit

Holiday’s are the best, aren’t they? But it’s choosing the outfits to pack that can be a struggle. It’s comforting to know in some cases you can always buy the outfits at your holiday destination- I know it’s cheeky but sometimes I can’t help myself.  Hehehe. First thing to think about I guess would be, what are you packing for? In my case I packed for a tropical summer holiday to Leyte, Cebu and Boracay in the Philippines. Oh and did we holiday! When I was in Cebu I did a little bit of shopping at the Ayala mall and made a visit to Topshop! I went straight to the…

    Sneak Peek

Since moving back to Australia I have found that I have a lot of petite clothes of mine that I need to sell to make more closet space. I still really love them, but I’m afraid it’s time we part. These are just a few of the petite dresses/ cocktail dresses that will be going up for sale on my blog. Most have been worn once or twice, some are unworn (due to wrong size ordered). I have to sort out putting PayPal on this blog and it will be ready. I will be adding other styles shortly, including SHORTS, JEANS, SKIRTS, TOPS and a bit more…  Some accessories and maybe…

Benefits Of Having A Petite Mum

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m pretty happy to be petite and there’s another small lady in my life who experiences the joys of petiteness… my mum (4’11” too!). She’s a great friend who no matter what is always there for me. Yeah yeah… I know… Lucky me, huh! 🙂 But besides the obvious gloriousness of mother-daughter relationships she also shares something special with me, the need for petite fashion! From time to time I raid her closet for clothes/shoes/bags  I can borrow. I also find her taking stuff from my closet too hehe. Yesterday I found shoes I’ve sent her as presents over the last two years. She’s holidaying overseas…
