    Neon + Leather for Petites

Hello lovelies! Sorry – I know it has been a ridiculously long time since my last blog post. But you ought to know by now, I’m a bit seasonal like that. I have a great run, then I get side-tracked onto other projects. But hey, at least I seem to come back. 🙂 What’s new since September 2012? I’ve hardly gone shopping – Then saved $! There was Christmas and New Year Played by the beach and pool Got more tanned… Gadget-wise – The BF got me an iPad mini (How fitting for a petite? Love!!) OK, so I don’t have a good enough or busy enough schedule to excuse…

Petite Review: Petite Miss Selfridge Blue Maxi

Some of you may have taken note of my Facebook post regarding a “few Miss Selfridge goodies”. Well, here is one of them (Yay! But sorry it took a while to post) – My petite turquoise maxi dress from Miss Selfridge. Standing at 4″11′, I find it super hard to find a maxi dress with the correct length. If I am lucky enough to find a dress designed to graze the shins of ‘regular sized’ women, I’d get that. But it’s rare to find. Another option is to go to Targets’ kids section and find a simple style maxi dress. One that it not noticeably from the childrens side of the store…

    Petite Review: Beginning Boutique

I could not resist the temptation of ordering online at Beginning Boutique. It’s a relatively new online store, which in the last year has gain momentum amongst Aussie ladies who love to online shop- people like me. It’s not quite ASOS in terms of range, but it’s definitely getting there. It was my first purchase with BB and I have to say, I am quite impressed. My parcel arrived in 2 days and arrived with a pretty BB postcard which was  handwritten by the lovely Kate who excels in customer service. So here’s how it went… Hot Pink Embellished Jumper The fit: (size S). As you can see, it was way…

Petites I Meet: ‘Lena from Sweden’

INTERVIEW WITH LENA: How tall are you? 5 feet. 150 cm What is the best thing about being petite? People say I’ small and cute, people find me very friendly and not scared of me. What is the worst thing about being petite? Not being able to reach things and not being able to buy clothes and shoes. What is the hardest outfit to find? Definitely pants! I’ve never bought a pair of pants I’ve never had to hem. My mum (who lives in Sweden) would usually hem pants for me or there’s an alterations place in city where I go. I really should learn to hem, as it’s really…

    Petite Holiday Outfit

Holiday’s are the best, aren’t they? But it’s choosing the outfits to pack that can be a struggle. It’s comforting to know in some cases you can always buy the outfits at your holiday destination- I know it’s cheeky but sometimes I can’t help myself.  Hehehe. First thing to think about I guess would be, what are you packing for? In my case I packed for a tropical summer holiday to Leyte, Cebu and Boracay in the Philippines. Oh and did we holiday! When I was in Cebu I did a little bit of shopping at the Ayala mall and made a visit to Topshop! I went straight to the…

    Sneak Peek

Since moving back to Australia I have found that I have a lot of petite clothes of mine that I need to sell to make more closet space. I still really love them, but I’m afraid it’s time we part. These are just a few of the petite dresses/ cocktail dresses that will be going up for sale on my blog. Most have been worn once or twice, some are unworn (due to wrong size ordered). I have to sort out putting PayPal on this blog and it will be ready. I will be adding other styles shortly, including SHORTS, JEANS, SKIRTS, TOPS and a bit more…  Some accessories and maybe…

    Back From Outerspace

Well, not really outerspace, but really Out Of Cyber Space! A few reasons really… One, felt a bit uninspired recently. I think it was because of the move back from London. I felt quite unsettled for the first couple of months. Second, I went on a family trip to the Philippines which was fantastic, but then soon after we all flew back again because my grandmother passed away. Quite sad. And third, I’m starting a little project with my mum. Yay! So now I’m back. One of the things I love about being back in my home town is going for a drive around rediscovering places. I found a lovely…

Benefits Of Having A Petite Mum

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m pretty happy to be petite and there’s another small lady in my life who experiences the joys of petiteness… my mum (4’11” too!). She’s a great friend who no matter what is always there for me. Yeah yeah… I know… Lucky me, huh! 🙂 But besides the obvious gloriousness of mother-daughter relationships she also shares something special with me, the need for petite fashion! From time to time I raid her closet for clothes/shoes/bags  I can borrow. I also find her taking stuff from my closet too hehe. Yesterday I found shoes I’ve sent her as presents over the last two years. She’s holidaying overseas…

    Intramuros, Manila

As part of my holiday I made sure I took some time to learn some history of the Philippines. My family and I went to Intramuros the oldest part of Manila, known as the ‘walled city’ which was built by the Spaniards in the 16th century. There I learned about Jose Rizal, the Philippines national hero, who was falsely charged with rebellion, sedition and formation of illegal societies and was later executed. This year is the 150th anniversary of Jose Rizal’s life. Rizal statue in Luneta The cast of the Rizal play Sitting at Rizal’s table The below picture was taken as I walked along the top part of the…
